Yellowstone National Park, Lookout Wildfire

Yet another wildfire, this time in Yellowstone. This season has been a bad one, with a number of large wildfires hitting several national parks and state parks.

Here is the news slipping:

Fire crews have found a new blaze that's burning in the backcountry of Yellowstone National Park.

The Lookout Fire is located about 1.5 miles southwest of Heart Lake and the lightning sparked blaze was discovered Sunday afternoon.

Fire officials say so far it's burned about half an acre and will be actively managed as a wildland fire since it doesn't pose a threat to people or property.

National Park Service Press Releases

I want to get press releases from the National park Service, and I can only seem to find email newsletter services (instead of simple RSS subscriptions). So, welcome to a blog designed to catch the email newsletter. We'll see if this works.

I'll try to automatically post the press releases to this blog via an email-post - no commentary, just the PR article
